Building of the church De Duif started in April 1857. The plan was made by Th. Molkenboer, an architect from Leiden. The church was named after a peace-pigeon depicted on a small house in de Kerkstraat. After a thorough restoration the church came into use again November 2002.

You can reach the Church De Duif with tram 16, 24 or 25 from Central Station; stop Vijzelstraat/Prinsengracht. The easiast way is to take the Stop/Go bus from CS and tell the driver of the bus you want to visit the church De Duif; he will stop in front of the church.
The nearest parking is underneath het Waterlooplein a 10 minutes walking distance from the church De Duif. A second possibility is parking Markenhoven at 15/20 minutes walking distance. Parking for a reasonable price is possible in the Rai Parking, more information www.raiparking.nl and www.parkerenindestad.nl.
